About This Place

Located in the heart of Cape Coral, The Greek Spot is a vibrant Greek restaurant that brings the authentic flavors of Greece directly to Florida’s Gulf Coast. From the moment you enter, you’re greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a friendly taverna in Athens or Crete, complete with bright Mediterranean-inspired décor and the comforting aroma of freshly grilled meats and herbs.

The menu is a celebration of traditional Greek cuisine, thoughtfully crafted to please both seasoned fans of Mediterranean food and curious newcomers. Standout dishes like the Greek Spot Gyro served alongside perfectly crispy Greek Spot Fries, and the sizzling, indulgent Saganaki that arrives with a golden crust ready to be enjoyed, showcase the kitchen’s authenticity and commitment to bold flavors. Whether you crave the rich, tender Traditional Beef and Lamb Gyro or prefer the lighter, refreshing zest of the Village Salad Horiatiki, each plate bursts with fresh ingredients and balanced seasoning.

For those seeking variety, the restaurant brilliantly caters to diverse tastes with options like the Chicken Gyro Sandwich, hearty Pork Souvlaki add-ons for salads, and a flavorful Veggie Gyro with Tzatziki Sauce that even vegan diners rave about. Customers like PCleveland85 have praised the generous size of the pita wraps, the expertly seasoned fries, and the speedy, friendly service that makes every visit a pleasure. The inclusion of gluten-free choices and kid-friendly meals ensures this spot is perfect for the whole family.

One of the most charming aspects of The Greek Spot is its heartfelt hospitality. Maria Weinstein’s review highlights how the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her and her children during a sudden downpour, a testament to the genuine care woven into the dining experience. Natasha Roy also notes that the restaurant shares space with The Sweet Spot, an adjacent ice cream shop that enriches your visit with sweet treats and a refreshing escape from Florida’s heat, all run by the same warm Greek family.

The Greek Spot isn’t just a meal—it’s a comforting step into culinary traditions crafted with passion and soul. Whether you’re indulging in the rich spiced notes of a Shawarma wrap or savoring the creamy richness of a Hummus Plate, the flavors transport you straight to the Mediterranean coast. Luisa L.’s account of feeling as if she’d been whisked back to Crete perfectly captures the authenticity and excellence that keep locals and visitors returning again and again.

For a taste of Greece with generous portions, authentic ingredients, and a family atmosphere that feels like a home away from home, The Greek Spot is an essential visit in Cape Coral. Come for the food, stay for the warm hospitality, and leave with a craving for more.

Food was super good! I have been to Crete many times and the taste just as good as there. We will come back!

If your into gyro then look no further, this place has the flavor and portions. I typically come here with the fam, my 4 year old enjoys their kid's meals while the misses and I enjoy their gyro and chicken gyro

Was looking for a new place with vegan options, and this spot popped up with good recommendations. We were very impressed; the falafel gyro with the vegan tzatziki was great, as was the (non-vegan) spicy gyro. HUGE pita! The fries were delicious and well-seasoned, the food came out quick, and the staff was super friendly - and our receipt gave us a 15% coupon for the ice cream shop next door. Definitely will be coming again!

Living in times where customer service is far and in between, I want the owners here to know.. I was there with my 2 small children and the two women employees working on 06/12 were incredibly kind, and so helpful. Started to pour outside and they went out of their way to help me bring my food inside so we could continue to enjoy and not get drenched! The food was just incredible & fresh! We cannot wait to return.

The Greek Spot & The Sweet Spot are a true taste of Greece and hospitality at its finest! On a scorching day, we ordered delicious, authentic Greek food from The Greek Spot which offers pick up and outdoor seating. We enjoyed it in the cool, air-conditioned comfort of The Sweet Spot right next door. Both are owned by the same warm and welcoming Greek family, and you can feel that hospitality in every bite and every interaction. The food is the real deal — their gyro is made the authentic way, roasting on a spit (not from a mix), alongside other flavorful dishes that taste like they came straight from a Greek kitchen. We were traveling with a well-seasoned Greek family member who has some challenges, and the owners and their diverse, friendly staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. Their kindness to all of us (and especially our well seasoned family member) made our visit even more memorable. Whether you have Greek roots or simply love great food and warm people, this is a must-visit. Also, if you are a small group (assistive living, Greek Club, men’s group, group home….) you will love this as an outing. And on your way out, grab a gift card — it’s a perfect way to share this gem with someone you love.

Good Greek Favorites Located in a very large strip mall, this eatery serves up some pretty good Greek food. There is no inside seating – it’s out in front of the store. There is a roof overhead and it looks like a curtain they can pull down if it’s blowing rain. For a small place, they have many menu items which can be viewed on their website and on an old style menu board above the counter. We had the standard Greek Gyro which is marinated seasoned lamb and beef, cut off the spit ($12.25). Warm pita filled with a nice portion of the meat with seasoned raw onions and sliced tomatoes. I think the Tzatziki sauce came in a small side cup. The sandwich comes with very tasty fries which also have Greek seasoning on them. Add a Fountain Drink ($2.75). We really enjoyed the food and want to go back to try some other items.

This is my new go to for lunch when I'm in the area. The Greek Spot Gyro is traditional and excellent. No indoor seating, but the patio is shaded and they take care of their customers. You won't be disappointed.
